What Is The Premiership?
The FA Premier League comprises the top 20 football clubs in the league system of English football. It was created in 1992, when the top division football clubs broke away from the Football League after securing a greatly improved TV rights deal with the then fledgling satellite television company BSkyB. The new name was simply a commercial restructuring and a rebranding exercise as there was no innovation in competitive terms; an identical first tier league had existed the previous season. The Premiership boasts some of the best players in the world, including many from outside England. The Premier League is the most lucrative football league in the world, with total club revenues of over £1.3 billion in 2003–04 according to Deloitte, more than 50 percent above its nearest competitor, Italy's Serie A
Can You Watch Live Premiership Football For Free?
You've got 3 options when it comes to watching live premiership football:-
- Buy tickets (which can be expensive on it's own) and then arrange travel, this normally ends up costing the price of a full on holiday for little more than
a day trip. For most people this isn't possible more than a couple of times a year, especially if you have a family.
- Pay for a Sky subscription and hope that the game you want to watch is being covered. If you support one of the big teams (Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool etc) then you should be ok,
for anyone supporting one of the less popular teams you are not going to be watching many live games for your £30+ a month.
- Watch a highlights program, yes I know it isn't live and you'll probably already know the scores before it begins. So I guess you really have 2 options for watching live football!

Find Out What's Showing And Where
Probably the hardest part of watching live football on the internet is to find out what games are playing and where
to go to find them. The new generation of P2P software allows you to easily select a channel to watch but it's not really much use
unless you know what channel is showing what and when. Another problem is that the bulk of this software is Chinese in orgin so making
sense of this schedule information can be difficult. Thankfully there are places on the internet that can help out.
The following links contain detailed and current information on what is scheduled and where, games from most European contries are featured from the English premiership to the Spanish La Liga:-
If you are just wishing to have a browse through the channels I have a tip that you may find usefull, look for the characters similar to aoy in the channel name, this means that
it is a sports channel.
